As the owner of Resonance Design – consulting, networking and education on sustainable sacred spaces and ecovillage design, she works directly in partnership with community builders, architects, developers, planners and individuals. Bringing holistic and conscious design to their projects, she creates a sense of place, alignment with vision, urban regeneration and sacred land restoration to her clients and community fellows. As an international traveler and advocate of the awakening of land and evolution of consciousness, she extended her studies and certifications towards the area of ecovillage design and education, graduating from the Findhorn Foundation Ecovillage Training in Scotland, 2001. Her passion for education brought her to facilitate workshops since her arrival in Unites States, 7 years ago, where she facilitates programs on Chinese environmental architecture (fen shui), personal sustainability and ecovillage education, assisting people in manifesting their vision through conscious design and holistic planning. Zaida brings a unique perspective to her studies and teachings: she excels in building bridges between land, people and spirit, and helping individuals, organizations and communities to develop a profound connection to others and the Earth. She is closely connected to GEN (Global Ecovillage Network) as the international liaisons, general coordinator and World View leading teacher for the first US Gaia /EDE program, a United Nations venture with GEN for Ecovillage Design Education certification, under the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development- UNDESD. This 4-week program is being taught in more than 15 countries around the world, with which Zaida maintains a network of communication and resources exchange. Teachings have been done in Esalen/California, Ecoversity/ New Mexico, CE-University of New Mexico, institutions and intentional communities around the country and in Brazil, where she teaches and consults twice a year. Zaida is the initiator and co-founder of 2 ecovillages that are in progress right now: the Zialua Albuquerque Ecovillage/NM and Cunha Ecovila/SP in Brazil. As a certified trainer for the Transition Towns Movement , she does training in NM and other states around the US, empowering communities, groups and businesses to go sustainable and to work together towards building local resilient communities. |
